The study programmes are formally supervised by the Mathematical Institute of Charles University and by the Institute of Theoretical Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University. Most of the teaching activity is done by members of the Division of Mathematical Modelling of the Mathematical Institute.

Our philosophy is that the lecturers should be given by the excellent scientists actively working in the particular field. Consequently, many courses are taught by scientists not directly related to the Mathematical Institute. Some of the courses in the mathematical modelling curriculum are therefore taught by experts coming from, among others, Department of Mathematical Analysis and Department of Numerical Mathematics, Department of Surface and Plasma Science, Institute of Theoretical Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University and the Institute of Mathematics of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic and Institute of Computer Science of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic.

The lectures in study branches molecular dynamics, quantum systems, general relativity a particle physics are given by scientists working at Department of Surface and Plasma Science a Institute of Theoretical Physics and other institutions.
