Academic
The Division of Mathematical Modelling and its members collaborate with many research institutions and renowned scientists all over the world. Below we list some of our major long term research and education partners.
- Institute of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics, Uniwersytet Warszawski. We are a research partner in international PhD study programme Mathematical Methods in Natural Sciences.
- Interdisciplinary Center for Scientific Computing, Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg. We have a joint PhD study programme.
Thorough Nečas Center for Mathematical Modeling we are involved in cooperation with other major research institutions. Concerning individually based collaboration, please see the individual web pages of the members of the Division of Mathematical Modelling. (The list would be simply to long.)
Applications
- Glass Service. We work on modelling of float glass process using both the “traditional” thin film approach, and a novel approach based on theory of mixtures.
- Department of Neurosurgery, Masaryk Hospital, Ústí na Labem. We work on data processing and numerical simulations (fluid structure interaction of a nonlinear elastic material with a non-Newtonian fluid) of cerebral aneurysm.
